CBSE Boards is the widely accepted Board in India. There are more than 20000+ school that are affiliated to CBSE which includes Govt Schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya, JNVs, Private Schools and Tibetian Schools. Hence, in order to reduce the scope of rote learning and grooming students in all aspects, CBSE brings forth changes in the exam pattern from time to time.

CBSE Releases sample papers sometimes back. MTG Editorial Board analyse the CBSE Sample Papers 2021 and observed that there are some major changes in the pattern of questions. The observation of Team MTG was already shared.

The analysis emphasised that for the academic year 2020-21 CBSE has incorporated more Objective type/MCQ based questions which will focus on measuring critical thinking ability of students. The questions will be focusing on sharpening the problem-solving ability of students.

The new pattern of questions includes

  • Case study-based questions,
  • Passage based questions,
  • Assertion and Reason type questions.

In Case Study Based / Passage Based Questions

In Case Study based/ Passage based questions, students will be expected to answer questions after reading a given paragraph or a passage. These types of questions used to be more popular in English. Now, CBSE has added it is all subjects.

Assertion and Reason type Questions

Assertion and Reason type question is just another way of checking the clarity of one’s concept. In these questions, firstly a statement is given under the heading ‘Assertion’(claim) and then below this another statement is given under the heading ‘Reason’(cause).

First of all, you have to check whether ‘Assertion’ is correct or not then you have to check whether the statement given under ‘Reason’ is correct or not. If yes, you have to check whether this statement is a correct logical explanation of what is asserted above.

On the basis of this, you have to mark your choice of answer.

Analytical Paragraph Writing

In English Language and Literature Class 10, CBSE has introduced a new topic called Analytical paragraph writing by academic year 2020-21.

MTG Score more Case Study Based Solved Examples Series for class 10 & 12 is specially designed to help student get familiar with solving these new patterns of questions for Science and Maths. Practising these questions will definitely help students to get an edge in their CBSE preparations.

It is very important that as soon as you get the question paper, you must quickly glance through the entire paper and assess the overall difficulty level of the questions. If you find any problem which is very difficult to solve, re-read it and write down all possible points and conditions hidden in the texts of the problem. Because, many times the actual context of the problem is only understood after writing down all the information given in the problem. This is because visual thinking is easier than mental thinking. So, your first step should be to analyze the problem and noting down all the possible points and conditions given in it.

Many candidates also find it difficult to solve Physics problems. To help candidates to solve Physics problems easily, we have provided some recommended ways to tackle Physics problems in our previous article.

Learn the Formulas

After noting down the information, the second step is to try different formulae and methods for solving the problem. Thus, in order to solve the equations of these three subjects easily and quickly you must work hard on the formulas from the very beginning and make sure you are thorough with them. You should understand the formulas and know for which particular problem what formula to be applied. We recommend MTG’s NEET Guide and JEE Main Guide as these books help you prepare best for the exam. The chapters in these books are supported by comprehensive theory, formulas, shortcut tricks, ample exercises, concise flowchart and tabulated information, self-explanatory diagrams and a lot more.
